Dismissed for want of prosecution
akash.c at 11:57 a.m. on 20 Aug. 12
A Criminal writ for quashing of charge sheet was dismissed with the comment "dismissed for want of prosecution". I was the respondent in the above writ.

Can someone throw more light on the term "dismissed for want of prosecution" ?

Many thanks in advance.

Want of prosecution generally means nobody was present before the court to prosecute or conduct the case from the side of the appellant or petitioner(not the respondent)
