In some cases, Investigation is entrusted to the officers not below the rank of Dy.Superintendent of Police/Circle Officers. In such one case, Sr.Superintendent of Police asks the Circle Officer to get further investigation conducted under Section 173 (8) under Cr.P.C. and the Circle Officer entrusts the same to his subordinate Station House Officer to conduct the further investigation. Is it unlawful?
